This one-day session is ideal for:

• Those in a middle-management role (managing supervisors/team leaders)
• Those identified with the potential to become middle managers of the future
• Those with middle management experience but no formal training
• Those aspiring to be middle managers

Course duration: 9.30 – 4.30 (Includes 1 x 30 minute break, 2 x 15 minute breaks)

Morning Session

• Short introductions and opening quiz
• Understanding Interpersonal Skills, their importance and their effect
• Understanding motivation, its importance and its effect

Break

• Understanding Maslow theory and how to use it in the workplace
• Understanding Herzberg theory and how to remove dissatisfiers
• Understanding your own motivation and the risks of ‘motivation bias’

Lunch

Afternoon Session

• How to motivate different types of people with different motivation needs
• How to motivate teams and maximise team morale

Break

• How to be objective whilst maintaining a personable manner
• Understanding behaviour standards and how to stick to them when under pressure
• Recap and closing quiz

Summary
