Performance Management Skills for Team Leaders/Supervisors

This one-day session is ideal for:
- Those in a team leading role eg Team Leaders, Supervisors
- Those identified with the potential to become team leaders and managers of the future
- Those with team leading/supervisory experience but no formal training
- Those aspiring to be team leaders, supervisors and managers
Course duration: 9.30 – 4.30 (Includes 1 x 30 minute break, 2 x 15 minute breaks)
Agenda
Morning Session
- Short introductions and opening quiz
- Understanding workplace standards and how to monitor and report effectively
Break
- Employment Law standards including Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- Health and Safety standards
- Understanding the importance of efficiency monitoring and quality monitoring
Lunch
Afternoon Session
- Techniques to monitor performance and gather accurate data for analysis
- Solving problems and making decisions quickly
- The essentials of root cause analysis
Break
- Holding difficult conversations
- Staff appraisals and reviews
Summary
This course provides essential communication skills needed in the team leading/supervisor job role. It can be used as stand-alone course or as part of our ‘six-pack’ aimed to address a full range of training needs across the Team Leader/Supervisor job role.
